ALARM AND FIRE SYSTEM TECH

Location: Davenport, IA (serving the Quad Cities area)
Compensation: $50,100.00 annual starting based on experience, plus overtime and performance bonuses
Schedule: Monday–Friday with opportunity for overtime

About the Role

Xenotronics Company, a trusted leader in the electronic security industry since 1986, is seeking a Security Systems Technician to install, service, and maintain security, fire, and access control systems for commercial and residential clients in Davenport and the greater Quad Cities area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and service security systems, including burglary controls, video surveillance, fire detection, and access control
  • Follow safety protocols, including ladder safety and proper equipment handling
  • Perform mechanical tasks including wire pulling and tool operation
  • Operate computer-based systems for layout, installation, and system preparation
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate professionally with clients and contractors
  • Maintain accurate daily work orders and track company tools and products
  • Maintain required state certifications and company vehicle responsibly
  • Work cooperatively with team members and represent the company professionally

  • Mechanical and electronic aptitude
  • Problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of safety protocols
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Background check approval
  • Prior work history in security, electronics, or military experience preferred
